Community Guidelines

Last updated: 23 June 2026

The iDive community is a place for divers to share trips, photos, dive logs and advice, and to find buddies. These guidelines keep it welcoming and safe. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and they apply to everyone who posts.

The short version: be kind, be honest, post your own content, and do not put anyone at risk. The community is for adults aged 18 and over.

1. Who can take part

The community is for members aged 18 or older. You confirm you are 18 or older when you join. Under-18s must not register.

2. Be a good diver and a good neighbour

Treat other members with respect. Share your real experience, ask questions freely, and help newer divers. Disagreement is fine; harassment is not.

3. Acceptable use

Post content that is yours to share and that is relevant to diving and the community. Give credit where it is due, and keep conversations civil.

4. Prohibited content

Do not post content that is:

5. Reporting and moderation

Every post and reply has a Report option. If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it and tell us why. Here is how moderation works:

Reports are confidential. We may keep a limited record of reports as a moderation audit trail, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Takedown

If you believe content on the community is unlawful or infringes your rights, ask us to take it down through the Grievance Redressal form or by emailing hello@idive.in. Tell us the link and the reason, and we will review it promptly.

7. The licence you grant

You keep ownership of what you post. So that we can run the community, you grant iDive a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store and display your posts on the Platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep or that others have already shared. You can remove your content at any time, and deleting your account removes your personal content as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Not dive-safety or medical advice

Community posts, dive logs and member advice are personal opinions and general information, not professional guidance. Do not rely on community content for dive-safety, medical or fitness-to-dive decisions. Always follow the briefings of your certified dive professional and seek qualified medical advice about your fitness to dive.

9. Consequences of breaking the rules

If you breach these guidelines we may remove or hide your content, and we may warn, suspend or close your account, depending on how serious or repeated the breach is. Serious or unlawful conduct may be reported to the authorities. You can appeal a decision by contacting hello@idive.in.
