Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of iDive, our website, your account, the community, and the bookings you make through us. By using iDive you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
1. Who we are
iDive is an online scuba aggregator operated from Goa, India. We connect you with dive centres, courses, trips and liveaboards across India and beyond. The in-water diving services are delivered by certified dive centres and trip suppliers; iDive coordinates them on your behalf. You can reach us at hello@idive.in or on WhatsApp at +91 87677 60334.
2. Eligibility: 18 and over
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account, join the community, or book through iDive. By using these features you confirm you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly provide accounts or community access to anyone under 18.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details safe. Sign-in is by one-time password or Google. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard.
4. Community participation
iDive includes a community where you can post, reply, share photos, keep a dive logbook and find dive buddies. When you take part you also agree to our Community Guidelines, which set out what is and is not acceptable. You are responsible for the content you post, and you must have the right to share it.
5. Acceptable use
When you use iDive, you agree not to:
- post unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, deceptive or infringing content;
- impersonate another person, or misrepresent your certification or experience;
- upload spam, scams, malware, or bulk or automated content;
- scrape, copy or harvest content or other members' data;
- attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform; or
- use iDive in any way that breaks Indian law.
6. User content and licence
You keep ownership of the content you post. To run the community we need permission to show it: you grant iDive a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute your content on the Platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the community. This licence ends when you delete your content or account, except for copies we are required to keep or that others have already shared.
7. Bookings, pricing and payments
Prices on iDive are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and, unless stated otherwise, are indicative "from" figures that may change before you confirm. The specific terms of a course, dive or curated trip, including reservations, deposits, the lock-in and cancellation terms, are set out on the relevant product page and, for curated expeditions, in the Curated Dive Trips Terms. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. Diving carries inherent risk; you remain responsible for diving within your training, certification and personal limits and for following the dive professionals' briefings.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove content, or suspend or close an account, if these terms or the Community Guidelines are breached, if content is reported and found to violate our rules, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why. You can appeal a moderation decision by contacting us at hello@idive.in.
9. No reliance for dive-safety or medical decisions
Information on iDive, including community posts, the dive logbook and chats with our assistant Laila, is for general guidance only. It is not dive-safety, medical or fitness-to-dive advice. Always follow the briefings of your certified dive professional and seek qualified medical advice about your fitness to dive.
10. Your privacy
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can exercise your data rights from the privacy tools in your dashboard or through our Grievance Redressal form.
11. Liability
We work to keep iDive accurate and available, but we provide it on an "as is" basis and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, iDive is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts of independent dive centres and suppliers. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Platform and the law evolve. When we make a material change we update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use iDive after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Goa, India.
