Course overview

The PADI Deep Diver specialty at Nusa Penida extends your limits to recreational depth, certifying you to dive to 40 metres. Deep training fits this destination well, where sites like Crystal Bay and the Mola Mola haunts drop into cold thermoclines below standard limits. You learn to plan deep dives, manage gas and recognise narcosis on genuinely deep, current-influenced reefs.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver (or Advanced Open Water) with the Deep Adventure Dive
• Sound buoyancy and air-management skills
• Diver medical clearance where indicated

   Deep technique

   Cover deep-diving theory and complete the first training dives, building depth in stages and practising gas management.
2. Day2
   Depth & narcosis

   Complete the deeper dives to 40 metres at suitable sites like Crystal Bay, practising narcosis awareness and safe ascents to certify.
