Over four dives you learn to plan and manage dives between 18 and 40 metres, recognise nitrogen narcosis and handle the practicalities of depth. It pairs well with the Wreck Diver specialty.
PADI Deep Diver is a specialty that counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating and qualifies you to plan and conduct recreational dives to the 40-metre limit. Beyond 40 metres requires technical training.
