Course overview

PADI Discover Scuba Diving is the easiest way to breathe underwater for the first time in Bali, and Tulamben's calm, shallow black-sand bay suits it well. After a short briefing you descend with an instructor to see clownfish, butterflyfish and maybe a turtle over the coral near the USAT Liberty. No certification is needed, just curiosity.

The PADI Discover Scuba pathway

PADI Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory experience, not a certification. Skills performed can later credit toward the PADI Open Water course, and it follows PADI's instructor-led, controlled-depth standards.

Where you'll dive in Bali

The experience uses the sheltered shallows of Tulamben Bay near the USAT Liberty, where gentle conditions and easy black-sand entry let first-timers float over coral full of clownfish, butterflyfish and the occasional turtle.
