Try scuba for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Key Largo, a good introduction in some of the calmest, clearest water in the United States. After a short briefing and confined-water practice, an instructor guides you on a real dive over the shallow coral reefs of John Pennekamp, where colourful fish and warm water make a memorable first breath underwater. No certification or experience is needed.
PADI Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory experience, not a certification. If you continue, the skills and dive can credit toward your PADI Open Water Diver course, and many participants do go on to certify.
Discover Scuba dives take place on the shallow, calm coral reefs of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park near Key Largo, where warm water (22-29C) and easy conditions suit a first dive. The protected reefs hold plenty of tropical fish, making for a vivid introduction.
