Course overview

Try scuba for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Moalboal, Cebu, with no certification or experience needed. After a short briefing and shallow-water practice, a PADI professional guides you on a real dive along the gentle Panagsama Beach house reef, where turtles and the resident sardine school may swim right past you. It is an easy way to find out what scuba diving is like.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater comfortably on scuba
• Use a mask, fins, regulator and BCD
• Equalise your ears and clear your mask
• Move and stay neutrally buoyant with guidance
• Follow your instructor's hand signals and safety rules
• Enjoy a guided dive while observing reef life

Prerequisites

• No experience or certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Basic comfort in water (non-swimmers can take part with the instructor)
• Complete a short medical questionnaire; clearance needed for some conditions
