Course overview

Try scuba diving for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Muscat, an instructor-guided introduction in the calm, clear water of Oman's coast. After a short briefing you breathe underwater and explore a shallow reef alongside turtles and colourful fish, with no certification or experience needed. It is a good taster before committing to a full dive course.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater on scuba for the first time
• Use the mask, fins, regulator and basic dive equipment
• Clear water from your mask and recover your regulator
• Equalise and control your position underwater
• Follow your instructor and basic dive signals
• Stay calm and relaxed while exploring a shallow reef

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water
• Complete a brief medical questionnaire
