Course overview

Try scuba diving for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience on Tioman, an easy introduction in the warm, calm water of this UNESCO marine-park island. Under the direct supervision of a PADI professional you breathe underwater and explore a shallow reef to a maximum of 12 metres, with no certification or experience required.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater for the first time
• Use basic scuba equipment under professional supervision
• Master a few essential skills like clearing your regulator and mask
• Equalise and control basic buoyancy
• Explore a shallow Tioman reef safely
• Recognise common reef life such as clownfish and reef fish

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health (a short medical questionnaire is completed beforehand)
• Able to be comfortable in the water
