Course overview

Take your first professional step with the PADI Divemaster course in Cyprus, which qualifies you to supervise diving activities and assist instructors with students. Training across Ayia Napa and Protaras builds your leadership skills on real sites, from guiding shore dives at Green Bay to mapping reefs and assisting on the Zenobia wreck.

What you’ll learn

• Supervise certified divers and assist instructors with student training
• Lead guided dives and conduct thorough dive briefings
• Perform dive-site mapping and risk assessment
• Demonstrate all 24 dive skills to demonstration quality

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18
• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
• Emergency First Response (primary and secondary care) within 24 months
• At least 40 logged dives to begin and 60 to certify
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Orientation and theory

   Programme overview, dive-theory study and the role of the divemaster.
2. Day2
   Water skills and stamina

   Swim and stamina assessments plus the timed rescue exercise.
3. Day3
   Skills demonstration

   Bring all 24 core skills to demonstration quality in sheltered bays.
4. Day4
   Dive-site mapping

   Survey and map a local site such as Green Bay or Cape Greco.
5. Day5
   Practical application

   Assist instructors with students and guide certified divers on real dives.
6. Day6
   Assessment and certification

   Final exams, practical evaluation and Divemaster certification.
