Earn your first professional rating as a PADI Divemaster in Djibouti, training on the Gulf of Tadjoura where the Red Sea opens toward the Indian Ocean. Working alongside instructors at quiet, reef-rich sites, you build the stamina, dive-theory knowledge and leadership skills to guide certified divers and assist on courses. The Divemaster certification is the first step toward a career in diving.
The PADI Divemaster rating is the first professional level in the PADI system and a prerequisite for the Instructor Development Course. Once you certify you gain renewable PADI professional membership, can guide certified divers and assist instructors, and may obtain professional liability insurance.
Divemaster training takes place across the reef and drop-off sites of the Gulf of Tadjoura. Calm-to-moderate conditions, light currents and warm 24-30°C water through the October-to-February peak give varied practice for guiding and assisting.
