Earn your first professional rating with the PADI Divemaster course in Key Largo, the entry point to the Florida Keys and the protected reefs of John Pennekamp. You work alongside instructors on busy charter boats that run reefs, wrecks and drifts year-round, and you build the leadership, dive-management and supervision skills needed to guide certified divers and assist on courses. You finish ready to work as a PADI professional anywhere in the world.
The PADI Divemaster rating is your entry into the PADI professional ranks and the prerequisite for the Assistant Instructor and Instructor Development courses. Certified Divemasters can supervise activities, lead certified divers and assist instructors worldwide, with access to professional membership and insurance.
Training runs out of Key Largo across John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Internship dives use shallow reefs such as Molasses and Elbow Reef, with deeper work on wrecks like the Spiegel Grove. Calm, warm water (22-29C) and a long April-to-October peak season give consistent conditions for building professional experience.
