Build the life-saving foundation behind every rescue and professional rating with the Emergency First Response course in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. This non-diving programme teaches primary and secondary care, CPR and first aid to internationally recognised standards, essential preparation for dive leadership in remote Galapagos waters where help can be far away. It satisfies the first-aid prerequisite for PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster.
Emergency First Response is PADI's CPR and first-aid programme. The certification meets the first-aid and CPR prerequisite for PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster, and is recognised internationally beyond diving.
This is a classroom-based course taught at the Puerto Ayora dive centre on Santa Cruz, with no in-water component. It is a popular pairing with Rescue Diver and Divemaster training because Galapagos dive sites are so remote.
