Learn to respond confidently in an emergency with the Emergency First Response (EFR) course in Tarkarli-Malvan, a non-diving first-aid programme that pairs naturally with the area's dive scene. It teaches CPR, first aid and the primary and secondary care skills required for the PADI Rescue Diver course and professional ratings.
Emergency First Response is PADI's international CPR and first-aid programme. The Primary and Secondary Care course satisfies the first-aid prerequisite for PADI Rescue Diver, Divemaster and higher ratings, and certification is typically valid for 24 months.
EFR is a classroom-based, dry course run at the dive centre near Tarkarli and Malvan, with no water sessions. It is the first-aid foundation many divers complete before the Rescue Diver course.
