The PADI Emergency First Response course teaches primary and secondary care, that is CPR and first aid, to anyone, diver or not. It is a dry, classroom-based programme you can complete in a day in Trincomalee. It meets the first-aid prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster courses, so it is a natural step for anyone working toward professional diving on Sri Lanka's east coast.
PADI Emergency First Response is built on internationally recognised CPR and first-aid guidelines and meets the first-aid requirement for PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Completion counts toward that prerequisite for 24 months.
Emergency First Response is a dry, classroom-based course held at the dive centre near Nilaveli. There is no diving or water work, so it can run on any day regardless of sea conditions.
