This largely classroom-based course, with one optional supervised dive, teaches you to plan and use nitrox safely in warm 27-29C water. It pays off here, where extra no-decompression time makes a difference on ships such as the Olympia Maru and Akitsushima.
The PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating and is completed mostly as classroom and practical work, with or without a training dive depending on the centre. It pairs well with the Deep and Wreck specialties for Coron.
Nitrox is well worth it in Coron, where the deeper wrecks such as the Olympia Maru, Okikawa Maru and Akitsushima sit at depths where extended no-decompression time noticeably improves your dives in warm 27-29C water.
