Course overview

Extend your bottom time on Kadmat's reefs with the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver specialty. By learning to dive enriched-air blends you gain longer no-decompression limits on the multi-level reef dives the atoll is known for, so you can spend more time among the manta rays, turtles and reef life of these clear Lakshadweep waters.

What you’ll learn

• Understand enriched air and how it extends no-stop limits
• Analyse the oxygen content of a cylinder and log the blend
• Set your dive computer for enriched-air diving
• Calculate maximum operating depth and the oxygen exposure limit
• Recognise and avoid the risk of oxygen toxicity
• Plan safer, longer multi-level reef dives

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• No additional dives strictly required (theory-led specialty)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

   Theory, analysis & dive

   Cover enriched-air theory, practise analysing and marking cylinders and setting your computer, then apply it on an enriched-air reef dive where conducted.
