Course overview

Get more bottom time on the Similan Islands' best sites with the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty at Khao Lak. This mostly knowledge-based course teaches you to analyse and dive enriched-air mixes, which extends no-decompression limits on multi-dive days and liveaboards at deeper pinnacles like Koh Bon and Koh Tachai.

• Set and verify your dive computer for nitrox
• Calculate maximum operating depth and oxygen exposure

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) / 15 for the specialty
• PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying certification
• No dives strictly required (knowledge-based course)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

   Nitrox theory & analysis

   Complete the enriched-air knowledge sections, practise oxygen analysis and computer set-up, and certify, with optional dives to apply the skills on national-park sites.
