South Ari Atoll divers do several dives a day chasing whale sharks and manta cleaning stations, which is exactly where PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) helps with longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals. Most of this specialty is knowledge-based, so you can be Nitrox-ready before you even get wet in south-ari-atoll.
PADI Enriched Air Diver is largely eLearning-based, counts toward Master Scuba Diver, and issues a PADI specialty card.
Nitrox works best on South Ari's multi-dive days across channel drifts and the Maamigili whale-shark area, where extra no-decompression time means more chances at a sighting. There are no required training dives, though many divers use Nitrox straight away on the atoll's 18-30m reef and wall sites.
