Certified divers can dive Sipadan's top sites on guided fun dives, from the sheer walls and barracuda tornadoes of Sipadan Island to the muck reefs of Mabul and Kapalai. Led by experienced local guides, each outing matches the conditions to your level, whether you want pelagic action on the drop-offs or macro hunting among frogfish and cuttlefish. It is the simplest way to experience one of the planet's premier dive regions.
Fun dives carry no certification but require proof of an existing rating. PADI divers should bring their certification card and logbook. Deeper Sipadan-wall dives are best suited to Advanced Open Water divers or those with the Deep specialty.
Fun dives range from the deep walls and drop-offs of Sipadan Island, known for barracuda tornadoes and turtle highways, to the shallow muck reefs of Mabul and Kapalai. Sipadan access depends on the daily permit system, and the April-to-October season offers the best conditions.
