Fun dives are for already-certified divers. Your maximum depth follows your certification level: Open Water to 18 metres, Advanced Open Water to 30 metres. A refresher is recommended if you have not dived recently.
Fun dives use the boat-accessed reefs off Malvan and the sheltered bay near Sindhudurg Fort. The water is warm at 26-29C, and in the post-monsoon October-to-May season the Konkan coast stays calm and clear, which suits relaxed reef diving. Common sightings include reef fish, octopus, moray eels, stingrays and barracuda.
