Certified divers can explore Trincomalee's best sites on guided fun dives, with no course required, ranging across the Pigeon Island Marine Park reefs, the deeper rocky sites near Swami Rock and the area's wrecks. Depending on your certification you can dive to 30 metres in calm, warm water alongside black-tip reef sharks, barracuda, trevally, rays and turtles.
No course is involved; fun dives simply require a recognised scuba certification. Depth is matched to your qualification, up to the 30-metre recreational range for suitably certified divers.
Fun dives range over the Pigeon Island Marine Park reefs, the deeper rocky sites near Swami Rock and Trincomalee's wrecks. During the calm May-to-September window, with April and October still diveable on either side, the 28-30C water brings barracuda, trevally, rays, reef sharks and turtles.
