The PADI Instructor / IDC pathway

The PADI IDC trains and assesses you against PADI standards, then prepares you for the Instructor Examination, which is run independently by a PADI Examiner. On passing the IE you become a teaching member of PADI with a renewable instructor certification and access to the worldwide PADI jobs network.

Where you'll dive in Perhentian

Teaching workshops use the sheltered, shallow bays off Long Beach and Coral Bay on Perhentian Kecil. Calm conditions and water around 27-30°C through the March-to-October season make a low-stress environment for rehearsing confined- and open-water teaching. The independent Instructor Examination is conducted separately by a PADI Examiner at a designated IE location.
