The PADI Instructor / IDC pathway

The PADI IDC trains and assesses you against PADI standards, then prepares you for the Instructor Examination, which a PADI Examiner conducts independently. Passing the IE makes you a teaching member of PADI with a renewable instructor rating, access to professional insurance and the worldwide PADI jobs network.

Is the Instructor Examination included?

The IDC prepares you for the PADI Instructor Examination, which is held separately by a PADI Examiner. IE fees are paid directly to PADI and are not part of the course price.
