The PADI Underwater Navigator specialty in Rasdhoo Atoll sharpens your underwater orientation. Channel currents and big drift sites here make confident navigation a genuinely valuable skill. You learn compass and natural navigation on the atoll's reefs, and you finish certified to find your way, lead your buddy team, and dive with far more independence.
The PADI Underwater Navigator specialty includes three dives, counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating, and satisfies the navigation requirement that underpins the Advanced Open Water and Rescue pathways.
Navigation training works best on Rasdhoo's clearly contoured reef sites such as Holhi Faru and Veligandu East, where good visibility and defined reef edges make natural references easy to follow. You then apply the skills in the atoll's mild drift currents, with the calmest conditions from November to April.
