The PADI Night Diver specialty off Karnataka's Murdeshwar coast shows you how Netrani Island's reef changes after dark. Guided by torchlight, you learn to navigate, communicate and dive safely at night, meeting nocturnal hunters such as octopus, cuttlefish and active morays that emerge once the sun sets. You finish certified as a PADI Night Diver.
The PADI Night Diver specialty is built around three night dives and certifies you to plan and conduct night dives. The dives can count toward the Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest non-professional level in PADI recreational diving.
Night dives are run from the boat over Netrani Island's sheltered reef sections. Calm October-to-April seas and clear water make the after-dark environment safer and more rewarding, with octopus, cuttlefish and hunting morays active in the torch beam.
