Course overview

See Nusa Penida's reefs after dark with the PADI Night Diver specialty, learning to dive confidently when the reef changes and nocturnal life emerges. Diving a sheltered Nusa reef by torchlight reveals hunting eels, sleeping fish and a different cast of creatures from the daytime drift sites. The specialty certifies you to plan and conduct night dives and counts towards Master Scuba Diver.

What you’ll learn

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) or 15 for Night Diver
• PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying certification
• Comfort with basic navigation and buoyancy
• Diver medical clearance where indicated

   Night dives

   After a briefing on lights and signals, complete the three night training dives on a calm, sheltered Nusa reef as the nocturnal life appears.
