The PADI Night Diver specialty teaches you to dive safely after dark, when Zanzibar's reefs change character and nocturnal life emerges. Sites near the Pange sand bank and the Stone Town coral gardens become active at night with hunting shrimps, crabs, squid, moray eels and colour-flashing critters.
The PADI Night Diver specialty includes three night dives, can credit one dive toward Advanced Open Water and counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating.
Zanzibar's main night diving is off Stone Town, where the coral gardens near the Pange sand bank become active after dark with shrimps, crabs, hunting eels and squid flashing colour in the lights during the calm July-to-February season.
