Training runs from Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz at sheltered, low-current sites such as Santa Fe and the calm bays where sea lions and green turtles gather. The cool water (16-26C) calls for a good wetsuit, and the protected shallows keep your first certification away from the strong currents found at advanced sites.
