Earn the world's most recognised entry-level scuba qualification with the PADI Open Water Diver course in Port Blair, Andamans. Over three to four days you progress from confined-water skills to four open-water training dives on the calm coral reefs around Chidiyatapu and the Andaman Sea, qualifying you to dive to 18 metres anywhere in the world. No previous experience is required.
PADI Open Water Diver certifies you to dive to 18 metres with a buddy, anywhere in the world, with no expiry. It is the prerequisite for the Advanced Open Water course and most specialties.
Training dives use the calm, shallow coral reefs around Chidiyatapu and the Andaman Sea off Port Blair. Warm 27-29C water, gentle conditions and good visibility in the December-to-April season make a good classroom for new divers.
