The PADI Rescue Diver course in Tulamben shifts your focus from your own diving to looking out for everyone around you. You practise tired-diver tows and surface rescues from the same black-sand beach used to reach the USAT Liberty. Scenarios run in the protected, warm water of Tulamben Bay, where currents are gentle and visibility is forgiving. Most divers call it the most rewarding course they take.
PADI Rescue uses eLearning theory and scenario-based practice. It is the final core course before professional ratings and earns the PADI Rescue Diver card.
Rescue scenarios use the sheltered black-sand shore and shallow reef of Tulamben Bay, where calm conditions let you concentrate on towing, lifting and surfacing an unresponsive diver near the coral-covered Liberty wreck.
