The PADI Rescue Diver course in Muscat makes you a calmer, more capable diver who can prevent and manage problems for yourself and others. Practising on the boat-access reefs of Bandar Khayran and around Fahal Island, you rehearse tired-diver tows, panicked-diver responses and missing-diver searches in the warm, generally calm waters of the Gulf of Oman. You finish certified as a PADI Rescue Diver, a key step toward professional ratings.
Many divers rate PADI Rescue Diver as the most rewarding recreational course. Along with current EFR training, it is a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster rating.
Rescue exercises use the calm lagoons of Bandar Khayran and reef sites near Fahal Island, where boat access and steady 24-30C conditions through the September-to-April season give a safe setting to rehearse emergency response.
