The PADI Rescue Diver course at Netrani Island off the Karnataka coast makes you a more confident, capable diver. Working from the boats that run out to Netrani's reef, you learn to anticipate, prevent and manage dive emergencies, from tired divers at the surface to unresponsive divers underwater. You finish certified as a PADI Rescue Diver, a key milestone on the path toward Divemaster.
PADI Rescue Diver requires current Emergency First Response (or equivalent CPR/first-aid) training and is the prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster rating. Many divers rate it the most rewarding step in recreational diver education.
Rescue scenarios are staged on the boat dives to Netrani Island from Murdeshwar. The reef's moderate currents and varied depths give realistic conditions for practising surface and underwater rescues. The October-to-April season delivers the calmest seas for running the rescue exercises safely.
