Become a more capable, self-reliant diver with the PADI Rescue Diver course in Port Blair, often called the most rewarding step in recreational training. In the calm, clear waters around Chidiyatapu and the Andaman Sea you learn to anticipate, prevent and manage diving emergencies, including tired-diver tows and unresponsive-diver recoveries. The certification builds the judgement and confidence of a genuinely competent diver.
PADI Rescue Diver requires a current Emergency First Response (or equivalent) first-aid and CPR rating and is a direct prerequisite for the Divemaster course. The certification puts judgement and emergency management ahead of depth.
Rescue skills and scenarios are practised on the sheltered, shallow reefs around Chidiyatapu and Port Blair. Calm seas, warm 27-29C water and good visibility in the December-to-April season give the controlled setting these demanding exercises need.
