The PADI Scuba Diver certification is a shorter, faster path to diving in Bali, qualifying you to dive to 12m under a professional's supervision. Training takes place in Tulamben's calm bay, where you practise skills before diving the coral and reef fish near the USAT Liberty. It suits travellers who are short on time but want a real certification they can upgrade to Open Water later.
PADI Scuba Diver is a subset of Open Water using the same eLearning. It certifies you to 12m under professional supervision and can be upgraded to full Open Water Diver at any time with the PADI card.
Training uses the protected shallows of Tulamben Bay near the USAT Liberty, where easy entries and minimal current suit early skills practice among clownfish, butterflyfish and resident reef life to 12m.
