Course overview

Earn a recognised entry-level certification in less time with the PADI Scuba Diver course in Ambon on the Banda Sea. A subset of the full Open Water programme, it qualifies you to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional, perfect if you have limited time but want a real certification to dive Ambon's gentle reefs.

• Assemble, use and care for basic scuba equipment
• Perform essential safety skills including mask clearing and regulator recovery
• Control buoyancy and move efficiently underwater
• Plan a simple dive within your limits
• Communicate with a buddy and a dive professional
• Dive to a maximum of 12 metres under professional supervision

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10 (Junior Scuba Diver)
• No prior certification required
• Adequate comfort and basic watermanship in the water
• Complete a medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if needed)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & confined water

   Cover the first knowledge-development sections and complete confined-water skill sessions in calm shallows.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Make two open-water training dives to a maximum of 12 metres over a gentle Ambon Bay reef, then certify.
