Course overview

Earn a recognised entry-level certification with the PADI Scuba Diver course in Djibouti, a shorter version of Open Water that lets you dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional. You train in the calm reef shallows of the Gulf of Tadjoura, which suits divers short on time who still want a real qualification, and you can upgrade to full Open Water Diver later.

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Minimum age 10 (Junior Scuba Diver)
• Basic swimming ability and comfort in water
• Diver medical questionnaire, with physician clearance if indicated

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and confined water

   Cover the first knowledge sections and practise core scuba skills in the calm, shallow waters of the gulf.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Apply your skills on two open-water dives to a maximum of 12 metres on a sheltered Gulf of Tadjoura reef and certify.
