Course overview

The PADI Scuba Diver course in Hurghada is a fast first qualification for people short on time. It covers the first half of Open Water training so you can dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional. You complete the core knowledge, confined-water skills and two open-water dives on the warm, clear Red Sea reefs. It is a good stepping stone toward the full Open Water Diver certification.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10 (Junior) or 15
• No prior certification required
• Basic swimming ability and water comfort
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if a condition applies)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & confined water

   Complete the first knowledge sections and practise core scuba skills in shallow, confined water.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives & certification

   Make two supervised open-water dives on Red Sea reefs to complete the Scuba Diver certification.
