Earn a recognised entry-level certification with the PADI Scuba Diver course in Key Largo, a shorter pathway than full Open Water that gets you diving the calm Florida Keys reefs sooner. You complete part of the Open Water knowledge and confined-water skills plus two open-water dives, finishing certified to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional. It is a good option if you are short on time but want a real qualification.
PADI Scuba Diver is a subset of the Open Water Diver course. You can later upgrade to full Open Water by completing the remaining knowledge sections and dives. Scuba Divers dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI Divemaster or Instructor.
Training dives take place on the shallow, calm reefs of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park near Key Largo, where warm water and easy conditions suit new divers. The protected coral and abundant fish make a rewarding first qualification.
