The PADI Scuba Diver course is a shorter route into Red Sea diving, useful if your Sharm El Sheikh holiday is tight on time. You cover the first three sections of Open Water theory and complete two training dives on calm reefs like Ras Katy, certifying you to dive to 12m under a professional's supervision. It is a fast track that you can later upgrade to full Open Water.
PADI delivers the theory through eLearning, issues a digital and physical PADI Scuba Diver card, and credits all completed work toward a later Open Water upgrade, plus Project AWARE awareness.
Shallow sheltered reefs such as Ras Katy and Near Garden, with 0-18m profiles and easy access, make good training grounds. Warm 24-28C water and coral gardens full of clownfish and butterflyfish keep the experience relaxed and rewarding to look at.
