Develop a focused diving skill with a PADI Specialty course at Kovalam on the Kerala coast, choosing from disciplines such as buoyancy, navigation, deep or enriched air to suit your goals. Training dives take place over the warm Kovalam reef in the Arabian Sea, building targeted expertise under instructor guidance. Each specialty counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
PADI Specialty courses let you focus on a particular type of diving, and completing five specialties along with Rescue Diver and 50 logged dives qualifies you for the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
Specialty dives run over the Kovalam reef and nearby sites in the Arabian Sea, home to reef fish, the occasional turtle, barracuda, octopus, lionfish, moray eels and stingrays. The calm post-monsoon season, roughly October to March, and warm 27-30°C water give good conditions for focused training.
