Course overview

PADI Specialty courses on the Perhentian Islands let you tailor your diving to the area's strengths, whether that is exploring the Sugar Wreck, going deeper to the Secret Wreck, working on buoyancy over coral or diving the reef at night. Each specialty adds focused skills and counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating, taught in the calm waters off Long Beach and Coral Bay.

Prerequisites

• PADI Open Water Diver (some specialties require Advanced Open Water)
• Minimum age varies by specialty (typically 10 to 15)
• Specialty-specific prerequisites where applicable
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

   Theory and first dives

   Knowledge development for the chosen specialty and the first training dives on a suitable local site.
2. Day2
   Skills and certification

   Complete the remaining training dives and skills, then certify in the chosen specialty.
