Course overview

Tailor your diving with PADI Specialty courses at Khao Lak, choosing the skills that best suit the Similan Islands. Deep, wreck, enriched air and fish identification are all available, and each specialty adds focused training and dives on the region's reefs and the Boon Sung wreck. Three specialties plus Rescue Diver lead to the Master Scuba Diver rating.

• Build experience toward the Master Scuba Diver rating

Prerequisites

• Minimum age varies by specialty (commonly 12–15)
• PADI Open Water Diver (some specialties require Advanced)
• Specialty-specific prerequisites where applicable
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & first dives

   Cover the specialty knowledge sections and complete the first training dive(s) on a suitable local or national-park site.
2. Day2
   Application & certification

   Finish the remaining dives, apply the specialty skills and earn the certification.
