The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty teaches you to capture Koh Lanta's colourful reefs and big-fish encounters with a camera you can actually control. From the soft-coral walls of Koh Bida to the manta and pelagic action on Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, you learn composition, lighting and buoyancy-aware shooting so your images do the marine life justice. You finish able to take sharp, well-exposed underwater photos.
The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. It focuses on practical camera skills and composition rather than a fixed number of theory exams, and good buoyancy makes a real difference to your results.
Koh Lanta has plenty of photogenic subjects: soft-coral walls and turtles at Koh Bida, caverns and whale-shark season at Koh Haa, and manta rays on the deep pinnacles. Shoot in the November-to-April season for the clearest 27-30°C water and best light penetration.
