Learn to dive sunken vessels with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty on Kadmat Island. Over four dives you learn to survey, navigate and safely penetrate wrecks, applying the techniques in the Lakshadweep waters around the atoll, where good visibility and a marine environment with reef fish, turtles and barracuda makes wreck diving rewarding.
PADI Wreck Diver is a recreational specialty that can count toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. Training stays within recreational depth limits and emphasises safe practices for overhead environments.
Wreck training takes place in the clear waters around Kadmat, where 24-metre visibility helps with surveying and line work, and reef life such as turtles, barracuda and trevally adds interest. October to May gives the calmest Arabian Sea conditions for the deeper dives.
