Take your diving deeper with the SSI Advanced Adventurer course in Cairns and reach the outer Great Barrier Reef's bigger sites. Across five adventure dives, including a Deep dive to as much as 30 metres and a Navigation dive, you sample SSI specialty areas while building skill at reefs such as Flynn, Milln and Thetford. It is the recognised intermediate step toward Diver Stress & Rescue and the Divemaster pathway.
SSI Advanced Adventurer is completed through five adventure dives rather than an exam and is delivered via SSI's digital platform. It extends your depth limit toward 30 metres and counts toward the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and Divemaster pathway.
SSI advanced training in Cairns runs on outer-reef day trips and liveaboards to sites such as Flynn, Milln and Thetford Reefs, where deeper bommies and coral gardens host reef sharks, turtles, cuttlefish and Maori wrasse through the June-to-November high season.
