Course overview

Expand your skills and depth range with the SSI Advanced Adventurer course on Grand Cayman, sampling five different specialty dives across the island's walls, wreck and reefs. With required deep and navigation dives plus electives such as wreck and night diving, you extend your limit to 30 metres and find out which specialties you want to pursue. You finish certified as an SSI Advanced Adventurer.

What you’ll learn

• Dive confidently to a maximum of 30 metres
• Navigate with compass and natural references
• Experience five different specialty disciplines
• Plan deeper dives and monitor limits
• Try wreck, night and buoyancy diving
• Build experience on Cayman's walls and wreck

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• SSI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Comfortable basic scuba skills
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep and navigation dives

   Complete the deep adventure dive on the West Wall and the navigation dive, building depth and direction skills.
2. Day2
   Specialty adventures and certification

   Make three more specialty dives, such as the USS Kittiwake wreck and a night dive, then certify.
