The SSI Advanced Adventurer course in Papua New Guinea adds five adventure dives across the seamounts, walls and wrecks of Kimbe Bay to your scuba diving experience. You sample deep diving, navigation and electives such as wreck or perfect-buoyancy dives, building skills and confidence on some of the world's richest reefs. The rating qualifies you to dive to a 30 m maximum depth.
SSI Advanced Adventurer is made up of five adventure dives that sample SSI specialties and qualifies you to 30 m. If you complete full specialties alongside it, that counts toward the SSI Advanced Open Water recognition rating.
Adventure dives cover Kimbe Bay's range: deep coral seamounts and reef walls, turtle reefs around 18 m and deeper WWII wrecks, all in warm 27-30°C water. Conditions are calmest and clearest in the dry season from May to October.
