Buoyancy dives use the sheltered, shallow bay off Tarkarli and Malvan, beside Sindhudurg Fort. The water is warm at 26-29C over a forgiving sandy, shallow bottom, and in the post-monsoon October-to-May season the Konkan coast stays calm and clear, which makes it a good place to fine-tune control and protect the reef.
