Course overview

Push your limits to 40 metres with the SSI Deep Diving specialty in Fiji, exploring the dramatic walls and deep pinnacles around Pacific Harbour and Beqa Lagoon. Classroom sessions and open-water dives cover gas management, deep-dive planning and safety procedures while you reach environments and species many divers never see. It certifies you to the recreational deep limit.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct dives toward the 40m recreational limit
• Manage gas supply, turn pressures and no-decompression limits
• Recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis
• Execute controlled ascents and extended safety stops
• Use deep-diving equipment and a redundant gas source
• Adapt to reduced light, colour and temperature at depth

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent recreational certification
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician where required

   Complete the SSI deep academics, then make your first progressively deeper dives on a Beqa pinnacle.
2. Day2
   Deep walls & assessment

   Dive a Pacific Harbour wall toward 40m, practising gas management, and finish the evaluation.
